The Holy Place and the Coverings
Pastor Rob explores the furnishings of the Holy Place—the Table of Showbread (representing Christ sustaining His people), the Golden Lampstand ($4.5 million in pure gold symbolizing Christ as the Light shining through the sevenfold Spirit of God), and the Altar of Incense (picturing Jesus as our High Priest who continually intercedes for us in prayer). The tabernacle’s coverings reveal layers of symbolism: inner linen curtains in blue (heaven), purple (royalty), white (purity), and scarlet (the blood of the Tola’ath worm that died on a tree birthing new life—a prophetic picture of Christ’s death, resurrection, and how we are “born again” through Him). As the tabernacle was beautiful on the inside but dark and ordinary from the outside, so believers are inwardly beautiful as God’s masterpiece in Christ—grounded in the solid foundation of His redemption—while the veil that once separated God’s presence was torn when Jesus died, giving us bold access to the throne of grace.
