A Desperate Faith

In this message from Mark 5:21-43, Young Adults Pastor Aaron Sabio traces two desperate acts of faith — Jairus, a respected synagogue ruler who lays aside every shred of status and begs Jesus to heal his dying daughter, and a woman who has been socially outcast and medically hopeless for twelve years but presses through the crowd with one conviction: "I shall be made well" — using both stories to ask what it looks like to have the kind of faith that actually gets Jesus' attention. The message closes at the communion table with the honest acknowledgment that not everyone gets their miracle on this side of eternity, and with 2 Corinthians 12:9 as the anchor — His grace is sufficient, His strength is made perfect in weakness — before pointing out that what Jairus and the woman touched was only the hem of His garment, but what believers touch at the table are His nail-scarred hands.
