Jesus the Triumphal King

On Palm Sunday, we examine the Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem and discover that this was no spontaneous moment — it was the precise fulfillment of a prophecy given by Daniel over 500 years earlier, pinpointing the exact day the Messiah would present Himself to Israel down to 173,880 days. Yet even as the crowds waved palm branches and shouted "Hosanna," Jesus wept over a city that missed the significance of its own day of visitation — blinded by ignorance and indifference to the very thing that could bring them peace. As we reflect on that first Palm Sunday, we're confronted with the same choice the crowds faced: will we reject Jesus, try to use Him for our own purposes, or receive Him as Lord and King?
