Who has influenced you the most in ministry and why?
Of course we are so blessed to have so many Godly women to look up to in ministry but I would have to say Yvonne. She has been a constant encourager to me and she has always been so real in all areas, as a wife, a mother in ministry etc. I know I can go to her and always get solid, Godly advice and prayer. She is amazing!

Where did you grow up? In Grants Pass, Oregon.

Tell us about your family: I am married to my best friend, Rob Salvato, and we have three adult

children who are all married….and our first grandchild is on the way! Oh, I can’t forget to mention

the cutest Yorkie ever, our Reddington.

What do you do for fun? Rob and I like to kayak, take walks, and hang out with our kids. I also like

puzzles, card games, thrift store shopping, and baking.

Favorite place to visit? Maui with Rob. But I also love the mountains!

Favorite books? Oh, so many! Christ Indwelling and Enthroned, Stepping Heavenward, and books

by Oswald Sanders, Warren Weirsbe, Max Lucado, Chuck Smith, Elisabeth Elliott, Nancy Leigh

Demoss, Beth Moore. I also love biographies.

Favorite food? Vanilla Bean ice cream. I know, sounds boring, but I LOVE it. Especially stirred up

with milk.

What person has influenced you the most in ministry? Many people have influenced my life and I

am grateful. I would say that Kay Smith left a huge impact on me for ministry by her example, teachings, exhortations, and her

passion for Jesus. But ultimately, it has been my husband, who continually reflects the heart of Christ and agape love for His church.

Favorite Bible verse and why?  1 John 3:1-2: “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children

of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.  Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been

revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.  And everyone who has

this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.” Why?  Because I am in awe and wonder of the love of my Heavenly Father who calls me

His own and who has promised that one day I will see Him face to face and be forever changed into His likeness!

Where did you grow up? I was born in Indiana, but moved to California at an early age. Lived my younger years in Orange County, then came to San Diego.

Tell us about your family: I am married to my best friend Dave, 35 years in the grace and love of the Lord.  We have three adult daughters, Rachel who is married to Jamie, Meagan and Hannah.  Blessed with two grandsons Wesley and Shepard, who bring us great joy.

What do you do for fun? Bike ride with Dave, new to hiking and enjoying that adventure, we take every opportunity to spend time with our kids and grandkids and I love a good book.

Favorite place to visit: Mountains, beaches, anywhere our family lives.

Favorite books: God’s Word, Christ Indwelling and Enthroned, A Chance to Die, anything by Wiersbe, Nancy Leigh DeMoss and I love a good clean legal thriller.

Favorite food: Pizza is the perfect food and chocolate for a treat.

Who has influenced you the most in ministry and why? From the bible I’ve learned from the examples of –Jesus, John the Baptist and Paul —humility, grace, love, and to serve others at the cost of self.  Within the body of Christ I’ve learned the same from the lives of my family, the great staff and volunteers I work with, and too many women to name who have poured into me through the years of Women’s Bible study.

Favorite Bible verse and why? Philippians 2:1-11 The humility and obedience of  Jesus, the great love demonstrated to me as He became a servant and died on the cross.  “Let this mind be in you…”  a great plumb line for living out my faith.  The call to be of one mind, one accord, having the same love—esteem others over self.  Grateful for these truths and the Spirit who helps me pursue them.

Where did you grow up? Morongo Valley, a small town in the high desert on the way to Joshua Tree.  It was a great place to grow up.

What do you do for fun? Loads of things, most anything involving spending time with family and friends, bike rides, beach walks, fun movies, exploring places around San Diego we’ve never been to, traveling, reading and the list goes on…

Favorite place to visit: I love Australia but I am always up for an adventure and going to new places.  I have a long list of places I want to go to.

Favorite books: The Bible, it is God’s words to my heart and is the source for everything.  I can’t count the times I’ve read Jane Austen, and I do enjoy a good mystery.  One of my favorite authors is Isobel Kuhn, a missionary to China before World War II.  She has written many books about her time in China and a couple books on other topics.  I’ve read them all.

Favorite food: French Fries

Who has influenced you the most in ministry and why? There are too many to list.  The Lord has blessed me so much by the people He has placed around me as life examples through the years.  People who love Jesus, who challenge me to be a better person for Christ by their daily living as well as how they love and care for people.

Who has influenced you the most in ministry and why? Rob and Denise! As I have sat under their leading for over 20 years I have seen their hearts so sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit in their lives.  They are beautiful example of Christ and I am so thankful for them.

Favorite Bible verse and why? Gal 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
